Are you like me, a certified coffee addict? (I am actually drinking some as I type this). Well here is a recipe to start your morning off right!
- -A huge cup of coffee
- -Between 1 tsp and 1 Tbsp Fat of choice (full fat coconut cream, grass fed butter, or unrefined coconut oil)
- -2 Tbsp Collagen (I use Great Lakes Collagen Hydrosate)
Blend ingredients with a frother and enjoy 😊 (I use the wonderful $1.99 frother from IKEA-best $2 I ever spent)
Why Bulletproof Coffee??
I used to be a die hard black coffee drinker, until I heard the benefits of bulletproof coffee. It has been shown to:
-Increase brain function due to the claim that the fat helps caffeine absorb faster
-Provide better energy than regular cup of coffee on its own (Say what?!). I like to use coconut oil for before a workout, due to MCT oil being shown to help with fat loss and provide lasting energy.
-Curb cravings and hunger. I works great for intermittent fasting.
-Improve your skin’s appearance, reduce joint pain, help repair gut lining, and make nails and hair grow faster and stronger (this is all due to the added collagen)
-Help with inflammation due to the high omega-3 content of grass fed butter
-Lastly (and most importantly) it makes the coffee taste AMAZING! I prefer to use coconut oil before a workout and butter in the morning.
